Team members

1.       Principle Investigator: Zai-Long Chi, MD, PhD

Zai-Long Chi received his PhD degree in the Department of Ophthalmology at University of Toyama, Japan and immediately joined the National Hospital Organization Tokyo Medical Center as JSPS Fellow and investigator. Then, he joined at Harvard Medical School as research fellow. After 12 years overseas study and work, he returned to China in 2014 and established his own lab at Wenzhou Medical University. His research focuses on the major blindness eye diseases, such as glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and uveitis to understand the mechanism of the disease onset. He is winner of “Qianjiang scholar” professorship and “580 Plan”, the first level of “151 talents project” in Zhejiang province. He participated in the State Bureau of higher school subject innovation engineering plan -“Precision Medicine of Ophthalmology”.
